The BUSHY™ Portfolio - Week 21

BUSHY™ had one of its best weeks of the year (+1.16%), another new weekly closing high for the portfolio (+5.8% YTD).

The Vanguard ‘target date’ benchmark struggled as US equities reversed the gains of the prior week and Treasuries continue to trade very poorly indeed.

BUSHY™ is performing very well versus all of its multi-asset benchmarks.

The 🐿️ has been beating the drum for some time that the ‘go to’ portfolio construction of the past 25 years - the 60/40 stock/bond portfolio - is no longer fit for purpose in an era of populist politics and inflation volatility. Back in September 2023, I called it The Murdoch Effect.

The 🐿️ was not a big believer in the ‘60/40 Comeback’
